This was the life story of Biggie Smalls, AKA Notorious B.I.G.
I was a pretty big fan of his back in the day.....and was sad to see him die.
That said, this was a pretty good movie, although it was rather choppy, I think they could have made it a three hour movie and held it good with a little more flow.
I think it was an interesting choice to have Angela Bassett play his mother, without even trying a Jamaican accent......
I loved that they played back from his childhood, and not just once he was famous.
Worth the watch....

Titanic 3D
Well.....as 3D, this was terrible...the best 3D effects were at the beginning when they were underwater looking for the safe. They totally wasted it....I should have felt water coming at me when it was rushing down, felt the ship falling into the ocean as it raced to it's demise.....The story itself was as wonderful as always, but the 3D was just a wasted effect....
That said, I LOVE the story of this movie.....I love the whole forbidden love story, and the fight to do what is in your heart when it is different from what is in your mind. That is something most people stuggle with in everyday life.....so it makes for an interesting story to play out.
It is amazing to think that there were so many wasted lives, esp ones that could have been saved. That part always tears me up.....esp when you see the old couple laying in bed together, the mother tucking her children in with a good night story, and mostly, when the priest is praying with people falling down all around him and holding onto his hand for dear life.
What a terrible tragedy. May God have mercy on all the souls of the real victims.

21 Jump Street
This was a great flick! I love the play on the 80's show, and the cameo at the end is well worth the wait.
It was funny and action packed......I did not even feel the need to check my watch! Good storyline, and great acting.....do see this....

American Reunion
This was classic American Pie....I loved the first three, and if you did too, do not miss out on this one. The storyline was great, and funny as hell......to see all the old crew back was great too.....esp the cameos at the end....
Some of the scenes really made it hard to hold in the laughter.....I esp liked the front yard fight scene at the party....outfits and all!! And as usual, Jim's dad steals a lot of the scenes.
Not much else to say, it is a comedy, and it will make you laugh, go see it!!

Friends With Kids
Alright, movie review time again, nice to be able to do one at a time....lol
Last night, I went to see Friends With Kids. It was alright. I did not mind seeing it, but would not have picked it myself. The first part of the movie was very funny, I did laugh out loud quite a few times. All the funny stuff between adults and then the new parents trying to figure out how to handle things, was also very funny. However, about half way through the movie, it became, she loves him, he is involved, he loves her, she is involved, and that is where I get bored. But the time it was over, I was WELL ready for it to end. Not terrible, but not wonderful either.
Next week: 21 Jumpstreet
Thats all for now folks

Hello readers!! Finally I have time to write something from the comfort of my home...
I am not even sure what to write about, so much as happened this winter. And what a beautiful winter it was, not much snow, not much cold, it was great. I only pulled my winter coat out for two day, TWO DAYS ALLWINTER!! I never once wore boots, in fact, I did not even have to buy boots for G.
Now, it is spring, and people are telling me that we are not out of the woods yet, but I beg to differ. The forecast says temps of average 22C over the next two weeks, I cannot believe we would have snow after that. And do I ever love spring/summer, it has always been my favorite time of year, and for good reason. Not only is the weather nicer, and you can do more, but you do not have to deal with snow and crap. Also, my friends that leave for the winter all come home, and it is right on the cusp of Easter, which, by far, is my favorite holiday. Easter is just the best time of year. Thanksgiving is fun, and Christmas is alright, but Easter to me is just magical. Being a believer in Jesus, the season of Lent just gives me so much faith, and Easter is a joyous occasion at my place.
I have watched several movies over the last couple months, I love to be able to give reviews here, so, I would like to give a recap of what I have watched recently since I was not here to review it at the time…although I cannot really give full reviews, as that would be a VERY long blog, here is what I thought about each movie. So, in order, since Tower Heist, which was the last movie I reviewed here, this is what I have watched:
A Lesson Before Dying
This is one of those movies that leaves you feeling sad and depressed.....but, are important to watch, so that history does not repeat itself and we move forward instead of back.....excellent story and cast!
Just Go With It
Not bad for a chick flick (which usually is not my thing)
A Perfect Getaway
Slow at the beginning, but loved how it turned out
Jack and Jill
The cast, and cameos were AMAZING....some of the people, like Dana Carvy and David Spade were even hard to see if you did not know them well, (I do, I LOVE Dana)....the plot was good, and the comedy was fair, not Sandler's best work, but not bad either, and the storyline with Pacino was great!!
Peep World
It was slow, and did not really have a point, and then ended as abruptly as it started....strange movie....main reason I watched this movie was Michael C. Hall
Love Crimes of Kabul
This literally blew my mind.....I cannot believe those poor woman live that like.....worth the watch.....
The Dilemma
Not bad….had some funny parts
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (American)
MUCH better than the first time around.....normally, I like movies that are subtitled, but perhaps here, too much was lost in the translation....this time around, I enjoyed it much more....although, this in a movie you REALLY have to pay attention to, or you get lost very easy, as there are many characters, and a few different storylines going on.....
Mr. Nice
Chloe Sevigny....just that makes me want to see this....... Now that I have saw it, not bad....amazing to think that was a true story!
Blue Valentine
Not bad, a little confusing at the beginning....very sad, esp the end
The Wolfman
This was alright.....it had a good storyline, if they would have shortened it to take out all the crap so you could actually pay attention, it would have been better......
The Resident
Not what I was expecting, but a good story….
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
This was a GREAT story, emotionally draining, and engaging. Even though it was over two hours long, it did not seem like that at all. There was one storyline that I wished they would have answered a couple more questions about, but overall, VERY well done. The footage of 9/11 was very hard to take, bring tissue, you will need it......
Take Me Home Tonight
It almost did not seem "80's" enough, I know that sounds odd, but that was the best way to put it...the sound track was great....just not the rest of it, LOL
The Woman In Black
Did not care for this too much. I hate when they have a great back story, and then just get lazy with the details and mess it up...which is pretty much what happened here....the best part, was the last two or three minutes....
Guess Who Is Coming For Dinner (1967)
I had not watched this until this week.....to be honest, I did not think I would like it, and I didn't, I LOVED it.....what a great movie, just enough comedy that you are not upset throughout, but with a really powerful message. With this being done almost 50 years ago, they were people really ahead of their time.....and I cannot say enough about Spencer Tracy's speech at the end, very tearful......
Wanderlust
Had a few good laughs, interesting storyline....not the movie of the year or anything, but funny enough.....lots of nudity....
Arthur
It was alright, not as good as the original, and it kinda lost me at the end when it got too romantic...I did not even watch the last ten minutes or so.....I did think Helen Mirren was great though!
Something Borrowed
I had this clicked as "Not Interested" which would have been right, but I saw it anyway....and it was not half bad....although, I must ask, am I the only one that thought that it was Darcy getting screwed over? I was not cheering for Rachel, I thought what she did was terrible....
Silent House
I heard not so great things about this movie.....but decided to check it out anyway, and I give it three stars because....during the course of the movie, it was a little slow and there were times if you wondered if anything was going to happen or not....however, the ending was very shocking, I did not see it coming at all, and when it pieced together by the end, you knew you had seen a good movie.....if they could have done it a little more intense at the beginning, that would have made it a four star movie.....
You Don`t Like The Truth: 4 Days Inside Guantanamo
It was a great subject matter that needed to be heard.....it was fairly well put together....I certainly hope the world does not view Canadians as those men behaved....I hope they are ashamed of themselves.....as Canadians, we should know that we do not treat children like that....
Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory
Excellent, there were really six victims here, three that lost their lives that sad day in the early 90`s and the three young boys they pinned the murders on that lost their youth to prison for a crime they did not comment. If you are not aware of this case, this would be a great watch for you.
WOW, I guess I watch a LOT of movies…
I do love movies, I go to the theatre more than anything else though….I love that one Tuesday afternoons, I can walk into an almost empty theatre, get my movie ticket for the latest movies for only $5 and come in at the last minute, so I actually have hot popcorn when the movie starts. I am going this week to see Friends With Kids, and next week to see 21 Jump Street. The one I am really waiting for though is American Reunion. I have actually taped the first three on my DVR and when D gets here next weekend, we are going to watch one of them each weekend for three weekends, and then go see the new one on the fourth weekend (since opening weekend is Easter anyway)…
Alright, well, that is all for now…I have a few blog topics in my head, and come next weekend will have a little more free time on my hands…so, until then readers.

Tower Heist
As always, please keep in mind that my reviews might contain spoilers.....if you do not want to know, you might not want to read until after you have seen this movie......
Tower Heist was an action/comedy with an all star cast. Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda, Casey Affleck, Judd Hirsch, Gabourey Sidibe, Matthew Broderick, Tea Leoni, and Michael Pena.....how can you go wrong with a cast like that?? They could have not gotten a better cast if they tried....and everyone fit their role very well.....well, almost everyone....
Murphy was GREAT....it was wonderful to see him in true form, how we all knew him from the 80's before he was all about kids movies.....this was the kind of role he was meant to play, and I am hoping we see a lot more of him like this soon.
Ben Stiller was good too, as he always is. And Alan Alda was amazing....I never thought I would see him play a creep like that....I just could never have pictured it. He was such a scumbag, and played it SO well......
Gabourey Sidibe was another story. Do not get me wrong, I LOVE her. I love her talent, and her acting.....but her accents are TERRIBLE. I found that she went in and out a lot with the accent, sometimes sounding right, and sometimes not. We saw this once before on Saturday Night Live. I thought perhaps since this was not live, she would have done enough takes to get it right, but I guess not. She was great for the part, but she should have just been American, like she is, not Jamaican. The one part I wished was longer, was when her and Eddie were practicing on the safe, and she was flirting with him. I love ad lib in movies, and this was a good one, but we got to see the entire scene in previews, so I was disappointed, wanting more from that scene. She did hold her own as far as being funny, and with the cast she had, that is a feat onto itself.
Heavy D had a cameo in the movie too. After it was over, and I came home, one of the first things I read online was that he had passed away. R.I.P. Heavy D. I am sure you got to the gates of Heaven and announced "The overweight lover's in the house!"
The plot to Tower Heist was really good as well. Good story, good casting, very funny. All around great movie. Worth a movie ticket, that is for sure.

Harold and Kumar's 3D Christmas
As always, please keep in mind that my reviews might contain spoilers.....if you do not want to know, you might not want to read until after you have seen this movie......
I saw this last night, and it was pretty funny, as far as stoner comedies go. Overall, I am not a huge fan of that genre, but for some reason, these guys crack me up. I have to say too, that this was the best 3D effect ever.....not only was the smoke coming at you pretty awesome (only thing that would have made that better was smell-o-vision, lol)....but some of the other ones, like the snowball fight, actually made me jump at first. Even the storyline was not bad for a silly movie.....they grew apart, and Santa brought them back together....kinda sweet Christmas story eh.....
It was very crude, lots of drug use, inappropriate sex, and lots of morons.....just what you expect from Harold and Kumar. My favorite joke, was when they were in the elevator, and they made a joke about Kumar working at the White House....because....Kal Penn actually did.....you could tell who got that joke, and who did not....
One thing though, is that I wish it would have come out next month. To be honest, it's a little early in the season for me to enjoy a Christmas movie....but if I waited, it would have been gone....and I am very glad I got to see that in 3D....it will not be the same without that effect.....

Paranormal Activity 3
I actually saw this movie a couple of weeks ago…..but as you can see from my last post, was too ill to spend a lot of time online to write about it. I might have mentioned this in the last post about a movie, but I go quite often at times. If there are a lot of good movies, then I will go every week sometimes. Others times when there is crap out, I might not go for a month or more. Anyway, back to the movie at hand. As always, I do post spoilers in my reviews, so if you have not seen the movie, and do not want it spoiled, then do not read this post until you have seen it….
Paranormal Activity 3 was the latest in a series of movies running backwards. In the first one, we watched a demon kill a woman and her partner. In the second one, we learned that it was the sister that transferred that demon over to her, in an effort to protect her son, which was the actual promised victim. In this third one, we see some experiences the sisters had when they were little with the same demon.
I thought the first one was good, the second one was great, and this one was alright. Yes, it had a few creepy parts. But overall, this last part made the whole series a little more unbelievable……
First off, are we to believe that the sisters had no memory of what happened? I know that it said they would not remember, but ANYTHING….how did they live all those years with NO memory of how their mother died? It’s pretty hard to believe that given that story, they would not grow up to be drug addicts, or worse. Secondly, why is Katie crying one second, and a demon in the next….without anything long lasting happening? Also, why would the grandmother be involved in something like this in the first place?
I am not saying they made ‘mistakes’ per se, and I know it is just a movie, but these are the things that jumped out at me….
Today, I am going to see Harold and Kumar’s 3D Christmas, AND Tower Heist…..I have been dying to see Tower Heist since I saw the first preview this summer, and wanted to go over the weekend, but did not for obvious reasons, so I thought I would take them both in on cheap night….look for those reviews coming up in the next week!
Until next time…….

Contagion
I am going to try and blog more, shorter blogs, but about more topics. As I stated in the beginning, I wanted this blog to be about EVERYTHING I like. I watch a lot of movies, and read books, and of course have my favorite TV shows like everyone else, so, I am going to start reviewing media like that here as well.
This week, I went and saw, Contagion. It was a fairly good movie. Great cast, did it EVER have an A list cast…..and good story too. It was a –little- jumbled and fast paced, but by the end, you knew exactly what was going on. The first part of the movie, was sad, and made me tear up some, but the rest of it just scared me. I am a bit of a germ-a-phobe to start with, and that just made it worse. Especially at the end when it showed how it started, UGH!
Since I just started reviewing movies here now, I do want to talk about Rise of the Planet of the Apes…..that is the best movie I have seen this year so far…..highly, HIGHLY recommended. Even if you were not a fan of the original, go see it, you will love it.

Brokeback Mountain and The Story Of T
I watched Brokeback Mountain with Z this summer….that is my 100% favorite, hands down, romantic movie. That movie takes me through so much emotion. Every time I watch it, I know I am going to both laugh and cry. The core of the story is what gets to me, the idea of being in love and yet not be able to be with that person is so maddening. The whole idea of the story reminds me of a relationship I had once. Ironically, I was told by the other party in this relationship that after watching the movie Monster, it reminded her of us……gee thanks….bet you can all guess which lead I was….
I have had several long term intense relationships in my life…..ironically, most of them were with partners whose names started with D. Then there were a few others….including one I will call T. T and I met on a telephone service, that was mainly for intimate encounters. We chatted on the phone a few weeks, and then met at a restaurant, which, was quite the night. But that is a whole other blog…..
Anyway, at that point in my life, I had an almost two year old son, and I had been out of the BDSM thing since I was pregnant, and really craving some play. I placed an ad, saying I was looking for a submissive, and right before Christmas 1999 I got her message. I called her and we chatted for a couple minutes, and I told her that being Christmas time (it was literally a week or two away), and having a little one, AND working retail, that my life was insane, but I would get back to her right after the new year. She said to me, way afterwards, that she did not think she would ever hear from me again, but I did call her about a week after New Years.
In the ad, I had stated that I was married (even though I was not and will never be), because I had already had more than one experience with having an ongoing thing with someone that thought sooner or later I would leave my partner and be with them, so I figured that saying I was married would take care of that, no room for misunderstandings. When we first chatted on the phone, I told her I wanted something ongoing and intense, but was already married so it would never be a live-in situation, or anything more than what I had stated. She said she was great with that, as she had just gotten out of a ten year marriage and was not ever interested in getting married again.
So, after a few weeks of phone chat, we met for drinks at a restaurant and seemed to hit it off pretty well. I guess at this point, I should probably point out that she was actually a male…..when she answered the ad, she did so from the POV of a submissive male, and when I met her, I was under the impression that she was male….that night at the meeting, she told me she like female clothes and such, and I thought, ok, a sissy, I can be into that. (Although, just for the record, I am only into sexy crossdressers, not silly sissies, they just make me laugh, and do NOT turn me on.) Before her, when I was a teenager, I had a hot affair with a crossdresser, so I was totally into that. As time went on, she slowly admitted to me that she was not really a sissy, but more of a transsexual. She was TOTALLY like a female in her way of thinking/feeling/reacting. So I have always, and most likely will always, think of her as a female.
After that first meeting, I went to her place, about a week later, for a session. I have to admit that I was craving some play pretty bad, it had been a LONG while, and I jumped right in with both feet, rather freaking her out at first (she told me this later), but the night went pretty good. For the next month or so, I would come up every ten days or so, spend about five or six hours, and then head home. About six weeks in, my birthday came up, and a friend and I went to her place for drinks (she served us), and then out to a bar, and I went back to her place to spend the night for the first time. After that, I was basically spending every other weekend with her, and sometimes would go up for just a few hours in the alternate week. Things went very good for a long while. We had great sexual chemistry and the sessions were pretty good. We also had a lot of fun together, I loved taking her out on small ‘dates’ between play, she was always so well behaved. Of course, we had a few small glitches, but nothing major for a long time. After a couple years (between two and three sometime), she did something I really did not like (long story), and it rubbed be terribly the wrong way. I felt that I had lost a lot of my interest in her. Not that I was not attracted to her anymore, cuz that would not have happened like that, but I was so disappointed in her that I was not interested in controlling her as much. We grew apart some, then eventually had an argument and stopped talking.
Some time pasted, a long time actually, maybe a year or so if I remember correctly. We started chatting again via email. I have to admit that I missed her terribly, but looking back, I should have let well enough alone. We emailed often, and eventually started to chat on the phone again. My memory is pretty bad these days, but that must have gone on for some long ass time, cuz I remember when we were emailing it was pretty often, but I did not have a home computer at the time, so I was stopping on the way home from work to email her. I remember sending an email when my mother died, which was in May, saying that I might not be around for some time, and the other timeline I remember, is when I finally had enough and wanted to see her, it was the following March, as I only had a week or two until D returned home, and wanted her to come and spent a weekend with me before that. So I guess we played the back and forth email game for an extended period of time. Anyway, I remember that I picked her up from the bus station, we got some DVDs and did not really make it though them. In fact, if memory serves me correctly, after over a year and a half apart, I do not think she was here two hours before I had her naked. I just could not keep my hands off her. I do remember that we had a great weekend. At that point, however, I was not sure if getting back into something serious with her was a great idea, so I encouraged her to still meet others.
After a while, a month or so perhaps – not sure how accurate my timeline is, my memory is TERRIBLE, it started to become more serious again. And here is the kicker. The first while we were together, I was very closed off as far as my emotions went. She hated that, she was always telling me that I had to show her more affection, and I always told her that was just not me. When I would try and speak about how I feel, I would just close up and would not be able to speak at all. I loved her very much, but I just could not express it in such words. When things got heated the second time, I made a VERY serious effort to change that. Which in hindsight, was my biggest mistake. Anyway, without getting into too much detail, after a few months, four or five I think, it blew up in my face. Things went terribly wrong, I had opened the floodgates of emotion and could not stop it, and it took over my thinking. That has to be the worse break up I had ever had in my life. My heart and emotion took over my head, and I could not think straight, I could not function, and I could not control my own emotions, it was terrible. I was a fucking mess, straight up.
There was so much fighting and stuff going on, I do not even remember all of it, but the long and short of it was this: she moved into a place that was owned by a girl that was interested in her, that made me crazy. She was also talking about moving to my city, to be closer to me, that freaked me out. She was upset because I did not want to commit to being so close to her, but I did not want her to have total freedom either, and I admit, that was not fair to her. However, that was what I was looking for when I placed the ad, and she was well aware of it. We argued that point quite a bit, I totally remember that, I would say, that is what I said I wanted, she would say, that is what she thought she wanted too, but now she wants more. And the one thing she said, that I will NEVER forget, because it stung my heart like a bee was this. “After five years, I thought, one day, you would look in my eyes and change your mind”. I will never, ever forget that line, it tore me apart. I loved her so much, but I still wanted what I wanted at the beginning. So much for saying I am married to fix that problem.
Sooner or later, the fighting stopped, and we no longer spoke. A tore up all my letters from her, I took her art down from the wall, I could not stand to look at them, although they have been back up for years now. I erased all her voicemail, and emails, I had to get her out of my head. I was a fucking hot mess. That was actually the beginning of a downward spiral for me, that was not caused by this, of course, but it certainly contributed to it.
Which brings us back to Brokeback Mountain. That feeling of intense love, and want, but cannot have. I identify with Ennis. He loved Jack, but could never just be with him. He felt that loss of love when Jack died, and he would never be the same again after their relationship. That is often how I think of my relationship with T………..

What a week, what a week. Life is never boring around here, that is for sure. Tonight I am gonna try and take it easy a bit. I went out with A for lunch today, as we were both off work, so tonight I am just gonna make dinner, and watch a few shows, while I get my shopping list (ad matching) ready for the weekend. I am gonna have to pick up a few Easter treats for the kids this weekend too, as I will go shopping after Easter morning next time. I cannot believe that Easter is so close! Easter is my favorite holiday of all! This whole time of year, I just LOVE it. I know that most people get like this over Christmas, and not too many people even see the big deal in Easter, but I am kinda the other way. Christmas is nice and all, but it’s WAY too much of a commercialized spectacle. Too many people forget that it is about the birth of Christ. And if you are not a Christian, what the hell are you even celebrating?? Drives me batty. Anyway, my point is, I LOVE Easter, we always have a huge celebration, and love to indulge in all those Lenten sacrifices that we have missed for the last 40 days. This year seems to be a tad quiet, some years we have lots of people over, sometimes it just us. So, this year, it will be me, my partner (D), the two kids, and then my second partner (O), and his two kids…..should be a nice quiet family holiday. Must buy a turkey and some goat this weekend for Easter dinner, and supplies for a nice dessert fondue. O calls himself my second husband (even though I am not married to anyone, and am gay)…so that is why I called him my second partner here. He does everything for me, does things for my kids, fixes things, takes me out…..he just does not get bedroom benefits, LOL. He is a pretty awesome guy though. He is one of my best friends. My Brethren.
I only watched one movie this past week. I am a film buff for sure, I LOVE movies, and try and get at least one a week in, but don’t always have time. I watched ‘The Experiment’ on Sunday. It was a pretty good movie. Great cast, good story. Loosely based on the Stanford Experiments. If you don’t know what that is, read here:
The movie starred Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Maggie Grace, Fisher Stevens and Ethan Cohn. It was a remake of a German film called ‘Das Experiment’. Well worth the watch....esp if you are into either prison movies as a pastime, or prison scenes as a fetish.
I am hoping to catch a couple more movies in the upcoming weeks, like Scream 4, Insidious, and maybe even Arthur. I am hoping to see one over the weekend, and perhaps another one Tuesday night (cheap night, only $4.25 a movie).....
Prison scenes can be very interesting in movies. I have never done one in real life, per se, but I do like interrogation at times as well. It’s strange, cuz I would say that I don’t like role play, but this is different, its not like I am pretending to be someone I am not....I am just setting my slave up for something.....I don’t dress in a uniform or anything, that is what I think is silly.
In the next week or so, I am going to have a session with a girl I have been playing with on and off for several years. I am not in a ‘relationship’ with her, but I do see her from time to time.....mostly for a BDSM session....once in a while for an EpiCure party, LOL. she got herself into some trouble with me, some pretty serious trouble, she has never done that before. I am chatting with her now, she is having a hard time with the whole situation. her ex husband thinks its great, he is enjoying know that she is in big trouble. Sounds like he needs some help with his slave as well. I don’t mind mentoring a fellow Dom/me, we all have to learn somewhere. Besides, I have done it a few times, and it can be kinda fun too.....
Well, I guess that is about all for tonight, it is rather late, and I still want to have a bite to eat and finish watching Parenthood. I know these blogs are kinda random, but I am hoping that is why some of you love it.....the next few blogs you have to look forward to are, my savings on this weekend’s shopping trip, my session with that girl, and if I decide to pick up mentoring her ex, and Easter Sunday, a big celebration.......and with that, I will leave you with a Top Ten, since I did not make it one Tuesday.....

BTW, I just want to point out for those of you that are confused, and I know you are out there....it IS possible to be religious AND kinky. My relationship with God is personal, and has nothing to do with my sex life. I LOVE my God, and I love Jesus Christ. I am a sexual person, and I don’t think God would have made something so beautiful if we were not supposed to enjoy it. I am not hurting anyone (unless they allow me to, lol), and everything is between two loving, consenting adults.

OCD, Kids, Coupons and Serial Killers - LOL
Well, I a pretty pissed. I had a folder for my blog, that included TONS of top ten lists, and a name list for the blog, plus all my drafts, and its like GONE. GONE. G.O.N.E. I have no idea what happened. The entire folder, plus a lot of my other drafts, like resumes and such. Then my daughter had a power point done for school that went missing too. Do computers usually eat your work? Well, after being pissed off about it for a few days, I realized there is nothing I can do about it, so WTF.
Other than that, life has been pretty much the same. My OCD seems a little more intense these days, and the doctor seems to want to pump me full of drugs to deal with it. I don’t think that is going to happen, those mind altering drugs scare the living fuck out of me. Not only was my mother a huge addict, but I had a terrible reaction to those drugs the last time, and I have not been the same since. That story is a blog in itself, trust me. So, he writes me a script the other day, and I come home to research it, and the first thing I read, is that while this drug treats OCD the most aggressively, it is a second class drug due to all the side effects. And some of them seem really nasty, so I am gonna pass….thanks Doc, but no thanks. For several years now, I have used Cannabis to control my OCD and anxiety, and while it does work when I need it to, it is not something I want to smoke all day long every day, I just like it at night mostly, when it is time to relax after a long day. It takes the edge off so I can get things done and then unwind. Having bad OCD makes me anxious pretty much all the time, so it makes me be able to relax enough to unwind from 60-0 and actually sleep. My kids enjoy that I am not so cranky after as well. Doc says there is no real harm in it, I had to quit once for two weeks last year for some surgery I was having, not a big deal, but took it back up after as it helps so much.
This weekend Z is having a sleepover for her birthday. Z is my –just-turned-15 year old daughter. She is technically my ex D’s daughter, but I have been raising her for almost the last five years. She is a pretty awesome kid too, so I think I might keep her, LOL. She is having a co-ed group of six over, so this should be fun. They are actually all pretty good kids in that group, so I am sure all will be fine, as long as they have an endless supply of junk food. We are getting an ice cream cake from Cold Stone. If you have not tried their ice cream, I HIGHLY recommend it. Hopefully I will be able to sleep at some point and the giggling and/or screaming (horror flicks) won’t keep me up. We are shipping my son G off for the night, cuz he is almost two years younger, and I am sure you all know that younger siblings are NOT cool when friends are over……if I am still alive next week, you will hear from me again….if this is my last blog ever, the teenagers got me, LOL.
I have been getting pretty good at ad matching and couponing as of late. I have a friend K that is pretty good at it herself, and we have been talking and looking out for good deals for each other. She actually was an ad matching pro, and I was the coupon queen, so we have teamed up. Look out! You don’t realize how much it adds up until you actually put a little effort into it. I had two shopping trips this weekend, a big one on the weekend with O and D, and a smaller one yesterday with another friend of mine, M, whom I took out to teach how to do ad matching, (she was a tad nervous about doing it herself). Between the two trips, I spend, $197.00, and saved, $390.30 between ad matching and coupons. Which is great, as I did not have $587 to spend, lol. When I take my bi-weekly shopping trips, I am going to post my coupon tracker on the next blog I write, however, keep in mind, this total is coupons only, if you do ad matching on top of that, your savings will blow that out of the water. The best buy of this week was Olay Body Wash. The 900ml retails at Wal-mart for $8.47, however, it was on sale at Food Basics for $3.49. Then I had several coupons for buy two Olay products, get $5.00 off, which means, I paid $1 each. ONE DOLLAR, for body wash that has a retail value of $8.47……WOW.
Last night I watched the new ‘I Spit On Your Grave’. I was rather intense, but great torture porn. One of the better ones, like ‘Hostel 2’ and ‘Captivity’. If you like that sort of thing, and I do, I would recommend it. If you do not, I suggest you do not. I was told that it can make your stomach queasy. If you are a sadist, like me, it can cause an evil grin to come over your face. I remember when I went to see ‘Hostel 2’ for the first time, I was in the theatre with one my best friends, A, and there is an Elizabeth Bathory scene. So, there is a naked woman laying in a tub, and another naked girl hanging from a meat hook above her. The girl is trembling in fear, and crying. The entire audience was silent. A had tears coming from her eyes from the shear emotion and fright of it. I tried, I really did. After a minute or so, I could not help it anymore, and I just burst out laughing. A was so mad, she said she was never going to the movies with me again. She did, lol. I tried, I really did, but I just could not hold it in anymore. The sadist in me was identifying not with the victim, like most people do, but with the perpetrator. Just like the beginning of the movie, there are several guys, normal, family guys, in business meetings, play golf, ect, betting on victims. I was SO drawn into that, it took everything out of me not to jump up and scream out loud when the auction of victims closed and the lead character won. Man, A would have REALLY killed me if I did that.
It is a very interesting fine line between BDSM and uncontrolled sadism. When you look at the serial killers of our time, a good number of them are into BDSM, but are not controlled within themselves. Jeffery Dahmer, BTK, Paul Bernardo, Hillside Stranglers and Charles Ng, and countless others, all have what seems to be an obsession with BDSM but did not use the right channels to fulfill it. Sometimes I wonder what the difference is between them and me. Why did I end up on this side of the fence and them on the other. If you look at the classic beginning life of serial killers, they look not too different than mine. The only two things that REALLY stand out as not like me are bedwetting, I never did that, and torture of animals, which I not only would never do, but it makes me really mad and sick to my stomach, I LOVE animals. Another kind of sadism that I don’t like is things like Nazi’s or racist’s, (see last blog). Things like that make me sick to even think about, but give me a helpless adult girl or boy even, and I could do things that I could not even say here. Things that would make most of you cringe. Odd how the mind works.
Typical characteristics of serial killers include:
Intelligence, with IQs in the "bright normal" range. (Yes, my IQ is 131)
Often, they have trouble staying employed and tend to work in menial jobs. The FBI, however, states, "Serial murderers often seem normal; have families and a steady job. Other sources state they often come from unstable families. (I came from an unstable family, but now have a very stable family and job)
As children, they are often abandoned by their fathers and raised by domineering mothers. (My father did not abandon me, but he did die at a young age and my mother was VERY domineering to my father, and me, until I was old enough to dominate her)
Their families often have criminal, psychiatric and alcoholic histories. (I have a criminal record {Juvenile thank God}, and psychiatric {OCD}, I do NOT drink alcohol at all)
They were often abused — emotionally, physically and/or sexually — by a family member. (My mother abused me emotionally and mentally for sure….physically only one time that I can remember, sexually, I am not sure about, that will be a topic for another blog)
They have high rates of suicide attempts. (No)
From an early age, many are intensely interested in voyeurism, fetishism, and sadomasochistic pornography. (Yes, YES, YES, and somewhat)
More than 60 percent wet their beds beyond the age of 12. (No, I don’t have even one memory of bed wetting)
Many are fascinated with fire starting. (Not really)
They are involved in sadistic activity or torturing animals. (Sadistic activity is a giant YES, torturing animals, never even close)
They were frequently bullied as children. (Not really, had a run in here and there, but I always stood up for myself)
Some were involved in petty crimes, such as theft, fraud, vandalism, dishonesty or similar offenses. (Yes lots of this when I was young)
So, yes, sometimes it makes me wonder why I did not end up the next Charles Manson, but I am thankful that I am not. I have always been fascinated with serial killers to. I remember in grade school we had to write a speech on any topic we choose, and I chose Charles Manson, who was my first serial killer that I really got into. The school called my parents, as they felt that I was siding with him. A few of my friends were creeped out. I was obsessed with him for a good long while, and even though I have found others that I am fascinated in, he was like a first love. Which is actually a bit ironic, considering he is a racist. But in his time, most white people were, I wonder if he has evolved at all since then. For more than ten years, he was my primary interest in the serial killer realm. I was always amazed how he got so many people to blindly follow him, even to murder, its intoxicating. Jeffery Dahmer was the second one I really was into, and after that, it just kind of snowballed. It is obviously the sexual sadism that attracts me to them (with the exception of Charlie, it was his power), as the killers that do not have a sexual aspect to their killings such as Son of Sam or Richard Kuklinski do not interest me at all, in fact, I find them rather boring. Sometimes I can get really turned on by reading the evil deeds of these killers. I know that is not morally or socially acceptable, but I do not control it, any more than anyone else controls what turns them on. The important part is that I never act on those fantasies.
Well, that is all for now, I could go on and on, but I must get something productive done……I know this blog was all over the place, talking about so many different random topics at once, but that is what I wanted this site for, to be able to express all sides of me…..loving mother, coupon queen and sadistic driven…...so, until another day readers……..
