Contagion

I am going to try and blog more, shorter blogs, but about more topics.  As I stated in the beginning, I wanted this blog to be about EVERYTHING I like.  I watch a lot of movies, and read books, and of course have my favorite TV shows like everyone else, so, I am going to start reviewing media like that here as well.

This week, I went and saw, Contagion.  It was a fairly good movie.  Great cast, did it EVER have an A list cast…..and good story too.  It was a –little- jumbled and fast paced, but by the end, you knew exactly what was going on.  The first part of the movie, was sad, and made me tear up some, but the rest of it just scared me.  I am a bit of a germ-a-phobe to start with, and that just made it worse.  Especially at the end when it showed how it started, UGH!

Since I just started reviewing movies here now, I do want to talk about Rise of the Planet of the Apes…..that is the best movie I have seen this year so far…..highly, HIGHLY recommended.  Even if you were not a fan of the original, go see it, you will love it.

A little time filler

Since I do not always have time to write a blog every week, I thought for some of the 'off weeks' I would do a little Q&A, so my readers can get to know me a little better....the best part is, because this is a semi-anonymous blog, the answers are 100% true, without any bullshit....so, here is round one....

  • When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?  Depends on many things, like weather, how far the return is, and how tired I am....
  •  In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener? Both
  • Do you take compliments well? Yes
  • Do you play Sudoku? No
  • If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive? I am guessing not, since I am scared of a lot of things in nature...
  • Did you ever go to camp as a kid?  I have never been camping in my life, but am seriously considering taking my family camping next summer....but the trailer kind though, no tent for us, LOL
  • What was your favorite game as a kid?  Well, I had a couple of kids I used to play Masters and Slaves with....a brother and sister combo that I played with the most....guess who I was.....
  • If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew he/she was married, would you go for it?  It would depend  on many many things, but being married is not a total deal breaker, as long as they plan to stay married.....
  • Have you lied to get out of a date?   Who hasn’t at some point in their lives?
  • Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?  Um, that one is tricky...my partner is not Catholic like me, but is still Christian....I do not know if I could have a life partner that was not at least Christian, so, I guess it depends on how different the beliefs are, and what the relationship entailed....
  • Do you like to pursue or be pursued?  I usually will not pursue anyone, so I guess I like to be pursued....
  • Do any songs make you cry?  A couple...that stupid Christmas Shoes song gets me every year for one!
  • If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you grabbed?  My kids and rodent
  • How often do you read books?  I always have one on the go, but I am a very slow reader, and only get time to read about once per week, so it takes me a couple of months to finish a book in general....right now, I am reading, “The Kid” by Sapphire......
  • Do you have a secret fetish?  I have tons of fetishes...not sure how many of them are secret though, lol
  • Have you tried sushi?  No, and never will
  • What was your favorite job?  I was a tour guide for a while, and loved that.....
  • Do you like mustard?   Only one burgers and dogs
  • How long does it take you in the shower?  The shower itself takes about 15 minutes, but getting from my robe to even PJs can take me half an hour, I have a pretty intense routine....
  • What movie do you want to see right now?  The one I am most looking forward to right now is Tower Heist......
 Until next time readers:

Brokeback Mountain and The Story Of T

I watched Brokeback Mountain with Z this summer….that is my 100% favorite, hands down, romantic movie.  That movie takes me through so much emotion.  Every time I watch it, I know I am going to both laugh and cry.  The core of the story is what gets to me, the idea of being in love and yet not be able to be with that person is so maddening.  The whole idea of the story reminds me of a relationship I had once.  Ironically, I was told by the other party in this relationship that after watching the movie Monster, it reminded her of us……gee thanks….bet you can all guess which lead I was….

I have had several long term intense relationships in my life…..ironically, most of them were with partners whose names started with D.  Then there were a few others….including one I will call T.  T and I met on a telephone service, that was mainly for intimate encounters.   We chatted on the phone a few weeks, and then met at a restaurant, which, was quite the night.  But that is a whole other blog…..

Anyway, at that point in my life, I had an almost two year old son, and I had been out of the BDSM thing since I was pregnant, and really craving some play.  I placed an ad, saying I was looking for a submissive, and right before Christmas 1999 I got her message.  I called her and we chatted for a couple minutes, and I told her that being Christmas time (it was literally a week or two away), and having a little one, AND working retail, that my life was insane, but I would get back to her right after the new year.   She said to me, way afterwards, that she did not think she would ever hear from me again, but I did call her about a week after New Years.

In the ad, I had stated that I was married (even though I was not and will never be), because I had already had more than one experience with having an ongoing thing with someone that thought sooner or later I would leave my partner and be with them, so I figured that saying I was married would take care of that, no room for misunderstandings.  When we first chatted on the phone, I told her I wanted something ongoing and intense, but was already married so it would never be a live-in situation, or anything more than what I had stated.  She said she was great with that, as she had just gotten out of a ten year marriage and was not ever interested in getting married again.

So, after a few weeks of phone chat, we met for drinks at a restaurant and seemed to hit it off pretty well.  I guess at this point, I should probably point out that she was actually a male…..when she answered the ad, she did so from the POV of a submissive male, and when I met her, I was under the impression that she was male….that night at the meeting, she told me she like female clothes and such, and I thought, ok, a sissy, I can be into that.  (Although, just for the record, I am only into sexy crossdressers, not silly sissies, they just make me laugh, and do NOT turn me on.)  Before her, when I was a teenager, I had a hot affair with a crossdresser, so I was totally into that.  As time went on, she slowly admitted to me that she was not really a sissy, but more of a transsexual.  She was TOTALLY like a female in her way of thinking/feeling/reacting.  So I have always, and most likely will always, think of her as a female.

After that first meeting, I went to her place, about a week later, for a session.  I have to admit that I was craving some play pretty bad, it had been a LONG while, and I jumped right in with both feet, rather freaking her out at first (she told me this later), but the night went pretty good.  For the next month or so, I would come up every ten days or so, spend about five or six hours, and then head home.  About six weeks in, my birthday came up, and a friend and I went to her place for drinks (she served us), and then out to a bar, and I went back to her place to spend the night for the first time.  After that, I was basically spending every other weekend with her, and sometimes would go up for just a few hours in the alternate week.  Things went very good for a long while.  We had great sexual chemistry and the sessions were pretty good.  We also had a lot of fun together, I loved taking her out on small ‘dates’ between play, she was always so well behaved.  Of course, we had a few small glitches, but nothing major for a long time.  After a couple years (between two and three sometime), she did something I really did not like (long story), and it rubbed be terribly the wrong way.  I felt that I had lost a lot of my interest in her.  Not that I was not attracted to her anymore, cuz that would not have happened like that, but I was so disappointed in her that I was not interested in controlling her as much.  We grew apart some, then eventually had an argument and stopped talking.

Some time pasted, a long time actually, maybe a year or so if I remember correctly.  We started chatting again via email.  I have to admit that I missed her terribly, but looking back, I should have let well enough alone.  We emailed often, and eventually started to chat on the phone again.  My memory is pretty bad these days, but that must have gone on for some long ass time, cuz I remember when we were emailing it was pretty often, but I did not have a home computer at the time, so I was stopping on the way home from work to email her.  I remember sending an email when my mother died, which was in May, saying that I might not be around for some time, and the other timeline I remember, is when I finally had enough and wanted to see her, it was the following March, as I only had a week or two until D returned home, and wanted her to come and spent a weekend with me before that.  So I guess we played the back and forth email game for an extended period of time.  Anyway, I remember that I picked her up from the bus station, we got some DVDs and did not really make it though them.  In fact, if memory serves me correctly, after over a year and a half apart, I do not think she was here two hours before I had her naked.  I just could not keep my hands off her.  I do remember that we had a great weekend.  At that point, however, I was not sure if getting back into something serious with her was a great idea, so I encouraged her to still meet others.

After a while, a month or so perhaps – not sure how accurate my timeline is, my memory is TERRIBLE, it started to become more serious again.  And here is the kicker.  The first while we were together, I was very closed off as far as my emotions went.  She hated that, she was always telling me that I had to show her more affection, and I always told her that was just not me.  When I would try and speak about how I feel, I would just close up and would not be able to speak at all.  I loved her very much, but I just could not express it in such words.  When things got heated the second time, I made a VERY serious effort to change that.  Which in hindsight, was my biggest mistake.  Anyway, without getting into too much detail, after a few months, four or five I think, it blew up in my face.  Things went terribly wrong, I had opened the floodgates of emotion and could not stop it, and it took over my thinking.  That has to be the worse break up I had ever had in my life.  My heart and emotion took over my head, and I could not think straight, I could not function, and I could not control my own emotions, it was terrible.  I was a fucking mess, straight up.

There was so much fighting and stuff going on, I do not even remember all of it, but the long and short of it was this:  she moved into a place that was owned by a girl that was interested in her, that made me crazy.  She was also talking about moving to my city, to be closer to me, that freaked me out.  She was upset because I did not want to commit to being so close to her, but I did not want her to have total freedom either, and I admit, that was not fair to her.  However, that was what I was looking for when I placed the ad, and she was well aware of it.  We argued that point quite a bit, I totally remember that, I would say, that is what I said I wanted, she would say, that is what she thought she wanted too, but now she wants more.  And the one thing she said, that I will NEVER forget, because it stung my heart like a bee was this.  “After five years, I thought, one day, you would look in my eyes and change your mind”.  I will never, ever forget that line, it tore me apart.  I loved her so much, but I still wanted what I wanted at the beginning.  So much for saying I am married to fix that problem.

Sooner or later, the fighting stopped, and we no longer spoke.  A tore up all my letters from her, I took her art down from the wall, I could not stand to look at them, although they have been back up for years now.  I erased all her voicemail, and emails, I had to get her out of my head.  I was a fucking hot mess.  That was actually the beginning of a downward spiral for me, that was not caused by this, of course, but it certainly contributed to it.

Which brings us back to Brokeback Mountain.  That feeling of intense love, and want, but cannot have.  I identify with Ennis.  He loved Jack, but could never just be with him.  He felt that loss of love when Jack died, and he would never be the same again after their relationship.  That is often how I think of my relationship with T………..

The Anonymous Comment

Well, life is pretty much back to normal now….thank God.  We are loving the new place, and aside from me having to harass the kids to pick up after themselves, everything is running a lot smoother than before.  Being summer though, it is rather busy around here.  I try and get out with the kids at least once per week, and take them out to do something fun….I always feel guilty when they are sitting around the house while I work.  I remember when G was little and he was in daycare, and that made me feel better, as at least he was getting to play with friends and do fun things, play outside and even have the odd day trip.  Now they are at the age where they go out with their friends once and a while, but when I am at work, they are mostly just in the house…..

So, I have noticed that I have an anonymous reader…..I have had four comments posted that way, and I am thinking they are all from the same person?  Sounds like someone that can identify with me, and maybe even thinks a lot of the same way I do (so far), but maybe is still working out some of their own thoughts.  Well, whoever you are, I am glad you are enjoying so far, and please keep letting me know you are reading, or what your thoughts are….it took me a while to find the first few comments, as they get put into a ‘spam’ folder, but I have it all figured out now, lol.

Things with ‘my girl’ kinda finished now.  During all the chaos of my move and such, she ended up getting back together with her ex boyfriend, and I am not really a fan of that.  Then, as I was too busy to spend time with her, she actually started exchanging messages and even went and saw another Dom (male), and then emailed me to tell me that was the stupidest thing she has ever done, and wants to know how to fix it.  I told her there was no fix for that.

Her:
“i should never of even spoke to him…..i thought he was a really nice guy spoke to him on a friend basis……..but still feel like a jack ...... about the whole thing... i wish i could take everything back……….i am terribly sorry…………..Ma'am will you please forgive my stupidity?................ Ma'am  i am really sorry. i hate disappointing you.... i really do…..is there anything i can do to fix this………..i know i cant erase the stupidity……and i know that i cant "fix" this so to speak i just want you to know that i am truly sorry for disappointing you and making you upset with me…….this is really the first time i have ever done something  SOOOOO stupid in my entire life...and i have done some pretty stupid crap”

Me:
“I am very disappointed in you, and the way this happened.... what did you want me to say? what did you think I was going to say?..........you want to pretend this did not happen….are you serious?  Or just nuts??...............there is no way to fix this.”

So, I guess that is the end of that….too bad, I kinda liked that girl, but she knew that would not go over well, and she has seen me get rid of others for even lesser offences, so that WAS rather stupid on her part.  Funny, her ears must be ringing, because she JUST messaged me as I finished typing this.

I had a pretty good shopping week, I saved about $185 in ad matching and coupons, so that is a great week, IMO….it does take a long time though, that is for sure…..about four or even five hours here, to get it all done, and another few hours shopping….but even if you work that out, it is still worth the money, its double minimum wage in savings at least, lol.

Today is Sunday, so for the most part, that is my lazy day.  I do a few things on Sundays, like folding laundry, but that is about it….most Sundays anyway….if we go out for the day, then it is not too relaxing, but we do not do that more than monthly on a Sunday.  Next Sunday I am working, which I am normally VERY against (for myself, not everyone), but I took a shift for another girl so she could go away for the week, it’s the first one I have done in over a year, so I do not mind too much.

However, most Sundays are like today….I wake up….I do all my morning stuff (wash face, brush teeth, etc), then I log online.  Usually by that time, D will have a hot tea ready for me, and will be making brunch.  Today we had bacon, eggs, toast and homefries.  YUM.   Then for the next couple hours, I have been hanging around online while D works around the house, right now I think he is hanging up things in Z’s room, then G wanted him to sew some pants.  After that, he will make dinner, and we will all eat together at the kitchen table.  After that, D usually cleans the kitchen and a few other things (he LOVES to clean, many times our nose and eyes are burning from bleach, his favorite), and then we will all sit around and watch some TV together….tonight is Big Brother….which we all love….and I think Z and I are gonna watch Brokeback Mountain together.  She has not seen that yet, but it is one of my favorite movies.  The whole concept and story of losing someone you love more than life, but just could not be with because of the reality of your own life haunts me.  I have lived through it, and when I saw that movie, I always thought that few people got that like me.  And those of us that do get it, or have lived through it, I am sure love that movie even more.

Well, I guess that is all I have to say for today….I have so many topics I want to blog about, but right now, my mind seems to be blank….guess its cuz I am hungry…..have a great week readers….look forward to hearing from you!

IT"S OVER!!!!!!!!

Thank God!!  I do not know who would do that more than once unpurpose……

Everything went alright, no major problems and I am already all settled in and chillin.  The finally moving week was quite intense, I had a few fights with D (which is pretty uncommon) and was pissed off at A quite a bit, she was rather useless during this time.  But overall, went pretty good.  We worked for five straight days for about 16 hours a day, but that was all the moving over, cleaning, unpacking and even tacked my shelves in my WALK IN GROCERY PANTRY……I love that….in my last place, I had groceries, paper products and cleaning products stored all over the place.  Now, they are all in one area, and I can stock pile my most used items much easier.  Even Z, who has the job of putting away groceries once they are in the house, says she loves it, and is much happier to do her job now.

On Thursday I took my kids out for lunch and a movie to celebrate that we were all done….that was my one day in over a month that I was not busy either moving or with work.  We went to the Mandarin to stuff our faces, and then to see Bad Teacher, which was an alright movie.  I love Justin Timberlake as an actor, he is SO funny and is just a natural talent.  Then we came home to watch Big Brother.  I love that show, it has to be one of my absolute favorites.  This year they brought back one of my favorite couples from the past, Jeff and Jordon…..they are SO cute…..cannot wait to see what this season has in store for the houseguests.

Today is Saturday, and I plan to sit around my apartment all weekend and do a whole lot of nothing.  I wanna do some cleaning, and some couponing, but nothing too intense or stressful.  I really need to spend some time relaxing in front of my TV too.  I just need some downtime, plus my DVR is almost 100% full as I have not been able to watch much TV in the last month or so.   I just need to relax for a couple days after the brutal last few weeks I have had….and I am assuming gonna have a rough day Monday as well…..have been having an ongoing issue with my boss that I think is about to come to a head on Monday morning…..we will have to see.

Things with the girl I was playing around with kinda died out now…..back to the drawing board I guess.  She wanted more than I could give her, and then she found it with someone else.  This has been an ongoing problem during the years we have known each other, but this time it will never go back again.  I am having one hell of a time finding the kind of play partner I want.  It’s almost like looking for a unicorn.  They either all want to get married or just have random sessions.  Neither of which interests me, I like something rather in between, but I can understand/see how a lot of people would not like that, so, I just take my time, and look around, not rushing into anything.  Sooner or later I will find someone I am compatible with again, I have found it before, a few times, and every time has been amazing, and well worth the wait.  I do not really have much free time right now, so I guess it’s for the better anyway.

As for now, just trying to get through life is challenge enough.  Until the next time…..
